Are we to gloat? Are we to smile in satisfaction at the exposition playing out in Washington? The feeding frenzy by political wilder beasts presently circling in for the proverbial kill at exposed neocon flesh is something to see. They are under criminal investigation and like squirming pusillanimous parasites that they are, they are reeling and in retreat at the onslaught of truthful revelations concerning their mad rush to illegitimate war much to the consternation of all neocon supporters everywhere. The truth has come to the surface, the Bush administration knowingly deceived Americans into war, plagiarized intelligence, broke both international and constitutional laws to advance their ideology in democracy by force.
Anyone who was opposed to their violent psychosis, were labeled as traitors, un-patriotic, un-American, cowardly, and evil. We are at one of those instances where the dualistic paradigm in the neocons’ war on evil has been illuminated to the point where even the delusional can see the other side of the double mind. You want to know what evil looks like take a good look at the Bush clan, there was never any need to go looking for evil in Mesopotamia, theirs plenty in Washington DC to gag at. All their arguments used to justify a preemptive war on another sovereign nation that never attacked the United States has been established to be nothing more than shallow façades with no real substance.
One must consider the significance and ramifications to what is presently happening to the Bush clan, they have revealed themselves to be malicious traitors by publicly exposing a CIA operative whose function was to run an undercover network to track the proliferation of WMD to terrorist organizations, an undercover officer in the “Directorate of Operations”. Do you see the significance in this? In an act of “settle the score” against a perceived political enemy in former ambassador Joseph Wilson, like organized Mafioso’s they went after Ambassador Wilson’s family and better half, wife Valerie Plame a CIA operative, which happens to be a criminal act defined under Section 421 of the Intelligence Identities act of 1982. They effectively rendered her entire network nugatory, and put at risk all those undercover agents associated with her.
This nation is now less safe from terrorists that are seeking or terrorists that already posses WMD weapons not because the Bush government invaded Iraq which according to the latest report by CIA adviser David Kay has no WMD, relatively because in an act of political assassination they rendered an entire spy network whose purpose was to track and stop terrorists from acquiring WMD material ineffective. This is unadulterated treason not to mention hypocrisy.
Why did the Bush clan set their sights on Ambassador Wilson? Was it a simple attempt to intimidate Wilson and to cover-up the use of plagiarized intelligence by the Bush administration in its erroneous build up to the invasion of Iraq? The Bush clan could not truthfully establish a clear threat posed by Iraq and its evil dictator so they needed to exaggerate and forge intelligence to hoodwink the pliable American masses.
Part of this coterie of government deception was to dispatch in late February 2002, Ambassador Wilson to Niger to find out if Iraq was trying to obtain the nuclear material “yellowcake” for their alleged nuclear program. According to Ambassador Wilson, Vice President Cheney’s office had questions about a particular intelligence report which referred to a memorandum of agreement that documented the sale of uranium “yellowcake” to Iraq by Niger. Ambassador Wilson also revealed that U.S. Ambassador to Niger Barbro Owens Kirkpatrick knew about the intelligence in question on uranium sales to Iraq and that in Wilson’s words – “she felt that she had already debunked them in her reports to Washington.”
So, the Bush administration already knew that the intelligence concerning “yellowcake” was highly problematic and sent Ambassador Wilson to Niger anyway who later confirmed that the intelligence was probably a forgery in which upon his arrival back to the United States reported this to the CIA. The CIA cabled Wilson’s suspicions around the intelligence community and to the NSC on March 9, 2002. This fabricated intelligence managed to find its way to President Bush’s State of the Union address to congress and was one of the main arguments to initiate a preemptive war.
An article penned by William Rivers Pitt last July titled – “The Crime and the Cover up” draws a line between the forgeries and its use by the administration to the Office of Special Plans(OSP) created by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and staffed by OSP Director Abram N. Shulsky, Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith, and William Luti, a former Navy officer with connections to Cheney. According to Pitt, the OSP created exaggerated interpretations of intelligence reports and primarily used data by people inside the government who had vested interests in deceiving America into war.
The Pitt piece goes on to explain – “When the OSP wanted to change or exaggerate evidence of Iraqi weapons capabilities, they sent Vice President Cheney to CIA headquarters on unprecedented visits where he demanded “forward-leaning” interpretations of the evidence. When Cheney was unable to go to the CIA, his chief of staff, Lewis “Scooter” Libby, went in his place.
Its no accident that Dick Cheney’s name surfaces more than once here, Justin Raimondo in his column L’Affaire Plame” connects the dots extensively. Eric Boehlert in his article – “Suspicion centers on Lewis Libby” – Boehlert quotes a former senior CIA officer who served under President Bush’s father, “Libby is certainly suspect No. 1.”
It is obvious that Vice President Cheney and his staff had the motive and determination to shut Wilson up and keep the lid on the “yellowcake” forgeries. One should not be surprised by the conduct of Cheney and his men; Cheney is probably the most prolific of the war profiteers in regards to the rape of Iraq, with a long trail of slimy business dealings and allegations for corporate fraud.
Vice President Cheney has continued to lie about Iraqi WMD and Iraqi links to al-Qaida and September 11th. President Bush recently contradicted Cheney concerning the recent statement made by the Vice President on a probable link between Iraq and September 11th.
It increasingly looks like President Bush will suffer the same fate his Fabian socialist friend Prime Minister Tony Blair is presently suffering, a slow humiliating political death. Hanging Cheney or Libby or both out to dry will not stop the bleeding for Bush.
In the Blair political drama, it was the British government’s release of an intelligence dossier on Iraq’s nonexistent WMD program and the supposed suicide death of scientist David Kelly who blew the whistle on the Blair government concerning the “sexed up” Iraqi WMD dossier. This dossier has proved to be plagiaristic, praised by Secretary of State Colin Powell in his address to the U.N. Security Council where he publicly stated – “I would call my colleagues’ attention to the fine paper that the United Kingdom distributed… which describes in exquisite detail Iraqi deception activities.”
So, here we are, one of those glaring moments in history, should we gloat at the quandary the Bush clan find themselves. These men and women butchered thousands of Iraqis and sacrificed the lives of hundreds of Americans to promote the interests of another nation and to augment the coffers of their favorite conglomerates; there is nothing here really to gloat about. They are a sad testament to what is perverse within this bleeding world and a constant reminder that criminal behavior by the elites for the most part rarely sees justice applied to them.
