Puffing the American review: Not difficult ’cause it’s good

My friend John Lofton called me and asked me to do a “puff-piece” on The American View. John claims to be a recovering Republican and I jokingly urge him to complete the recovery.

I have no experience with puff-pieces; I do critiques. However…

As John and I talked he mentioned that Newt Gingrich had granted him an interview.

Back in the pre-NAFTA days I wrote Newt a letter opposing this legislation. My letter was neither answered nor even acknowledged.

John Lofton is a pit bull in the interview arena and I wanted to hear that interview. I heard it and as good as John is, I scored it as a draw. Newt is clever, articulate, convincing, and cunningly deceptive. To score the interview yourself click here.

The mission of an organization is of utmost importance. When Dispensationalists terminate their mission with the humanistic conversion of people they produce a sterile product capable only of producing more of the same. It is the crown rights of King Jesus under the legal structure of The Father that promises a premier social order. This premier social order is the objective of The American View. Correctly and refreshingly the Republican Party is soundly rejected as the vehicle.

“We are seriously concerned about, deeply grieved by and lament the fact that far too many of today’s so-called “Christian leaders” are a sinful embarrassment and are responsible for the cause of Christ being mocked and ridiculed. By being, first, cheerleaders for the Republican Party, they have dishonored their Lord and sold their Christian birthright for a mess of partisan political pottage. These individuals and organizations are Christian in name only, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” From such, it is added, we must turn away.”

This sterling bit of logic is followed by a hundred year old quotation from Southern icon Robert L. Dabney that so beautifully describes our present situation that every Christian should take time to read it. Click here.

The American View has a radio program that is now being broadcast in 35 cities in 22 states. Many of these programs and the interviews conducted on them are available on the Webpage.

Michael Peroutka gets top billing as the co-host of the radio program but John Lofton brings more experience. They compliment each other and the program has a fast moving interest-retaining format.

John Lofton is a scholar, a journalist, and an experienced interviewer. He has a great sense of humor and a unique ability to focus the tenets of the Christian Faith. If your town is not one of the 35 that receives the live broadcast you should recommend it to a local radio stations.

The American View weekly one hour radio program is distributed by “Radio America” it has the potential to gain national notoriety by incensing the humanists and informing the Christians. It is a truthfully smooth, professionally done program that should be promoted.

On the American View Webpage there are Blogs with lively discussions forums, there is poetry, book and movie reviews, there is a speakers bureau, and a list of authors.

Just one request, John; add Al Cronkrite to your list of authors.
