“Outsourcing” American jobs: Causing more unemployment in the U.S.

It’s a costly “Catch 22.”

To lower costs for America’s consumers, U.S. companies are forced to do business beyond our borders.

Consumers win.

Workers lose.

Corporate America no longer has any allegiance to the USA, but rather to its own economic survival in a fiercely competitive global economy.

Although America is the most powerful and boasts the most economic system in the world, being No. 1 has its disadvantages. The United States is the envy of nations simply because of its sheer wealth, talent and resources.

More importantly, America is a free and open society. Most of the world’s population is under the control of dictators, monarchs, socialists, Marxists and Communists.

America enjoys both Freedom and Success.

It doesn’t get much better than that.

But can America remain the land of the free and the successful if more and more jobs are exported to Second and Third World counties where workers get paid a few dollars a day at best, with no benefits?

At the moment, America’s unemployment rate has leveled off around 6 percent. That’s not ideal, but it’s bearable, except for the several million workers collecting unemployment or without a job and any help from government.

The issue is the creation of good jobs in America. This is not about redistribution of “wealth,” which is socialism. What is at stake is Capitalism: America’s free enterprise system – the economic engine for all goods, services and benefits, such as pensions, health care and private investment portfolios.

How can we have both profitable capitalism and jobs that support and improve our economy – and our working citizens?

Isn’t that the real “American Dream” and the reason so many foreigners want to come to America and enjoy the opportunities and freedom of a prospering nation?

Seems like most of the world wants to live and work in America, legally or illegally.

I don’t see any Americans or foreigners leaving this country to better themselves elsewhere?

No, they’re staying here, or coming to America because it’s the best place on the planet to live work, play and raise a family.

Not every American or legal immigrant can become an Edison or a Bill Gates of Microsoft, one of the most successful companies in the world. But those born and stay here, and the “legals” already here, should at least be given an opportunity to work and earn a “livable” wage.

In this dicey game of capitalism and jobs, we don’t want to punish success and reward failure. That’s socialism: If you can’t make it, don’t worry, Big Government will take care of you from the cradle to the grave.

It’s no wonder millions want to come to America to partake of this unprecedented bounty.

The key is creating good jobs for those who really want to work and be a good American citizen, which is, fortunately, most of our population.

That’s what has made America the greatest nation the world has ever seen.

To remain the best, America must invest in America and its working citizens.

For those able-bodied men and woman who for any reason refuse to work, let them fend for themselves. You’re either part of the solution, or you’re part of the problem.

The solution is not more government and bureaucratic overhead at great expense to taxpayers, but more beneficial jobs for everyone.
