Since George Bush took office, radio talk show hosts who call themselves “conservative” have been covering his administration in a manner I can only call schizophrenic. Because they are “conservative,” they need to denounce the present illegal alien invasion of the United States, for just one example, or federal spending that makes every Democrat President, even including Franklin Roosevelt, look like Ebenezer Scrooge, for another.
What makes it schizophrenic is the fact that the influential men I have in mind do so as if these horrors are happening in a vacuum, as if they “just happen,” for no reason, as if George W. Bush has nothing to do with them. For instance, Shallow Sean Hannity, arguably the stupidest man in network broadcasting, has pointed out time after time that illegal immigration is killing our country and must be stopped.
Rush Limbaugh, who is certainly one of the smartest men in the racket, but whose legal problems may not yet be over, does talk about the criminal spending that can never be paid back. He does expose the other horrors inflicted on the nation by the District of Conspiracy. He does talk about fat slob Teddy Kennedy, and the other joke from the Bay State whose name I don’t recall, but who has “French-looking” hair, married the lady who makes the ketchup and wants to be President.
But Limbaugh has been to the Republican Party as Chevrolet is to General Motors. Hannity does what we used to call “rip and read” in the news business. The “news” used to come clickety-clack out of the Teletype machines, printed on that cheap, yellow toilet paper. When the top of the hour came, whoever did the “news” would rip it out of the machine and read it.
If the station could afford to pay a writer, he or she would edit it to make it sound better, but it still would be the same garbage. The man reading it over a microphone in Cedar Rapids, had no more knowledge of what was really happening in Bombay than did his listeners. Hannity is rip and read personified, because there is no fax from Republican headquarters, however preposterous, that he will not extrude over the air with enthusiasm.
The assignment of both these men and others is apparently to act as Republican apologists, to excuse what the Republicans are doing, to explain away the Party’s lust for dictatorship, to keep Republican voters in the voting booths, and, most important, to keep George W. Bush above the fray, looking presidential, so that those people in Cedar Rapids keep voting for him. So far, they have done a good job.
But a remarkable thing has been happening. At some point in the construction of a totalitarian dictatorship, it finally becomes obvious what is happening. However subtle the oppressor is, at some point people begin to wake up and ask questions. Many years ago, at a Republican National Convention, Indiana Senator Bill Jenner told me the story of the man who worked in a baby carriage factory in Nazi Germany before World War II.
The man’s wife was pregnant, so he decided to steal the part that each department in the factory made. When he had all the parts, he would assemble them and his wife would have a carriage for the new baby. The scheme worked. There was only one discrepancy. When he put all the parts together, he did not have a baby carriage. He had a machine gun.
And so do we. Dubya has become a Communist mad dog. He is imposing so many Communist policies so quickly that Michael Savage has (almost) had enough. No doubt to maintain their credibility, even Limbaugh and Hannity are talking about it. Mirabile dictu, so is Glenn Beck. The job of holding Bush’s “conservative” base together is becoming ever more difficult. For some genuinely “conservative” talk show hosts, the light may be truly dawning.
For instance, to destroy countries around the world, Soviet dictator Stalin concocted the policy of “self-determination,” in which a region could secede from a nation if the people there wanted to. Under this policy, it was good for Algeria to secede from France. It would be good for FARC to secede from Colombia and for Aztlan to secede from the United States.
The District of Conspiracy has always endorsed this Communist policy, except when the secession would oppose Communist goals. Totalitarian monster Abraham Lincoln opposed Southern secession. Washington supported the Communist UN forty years ago, when it killed and burned in the province of Katanga, to prevent anti-Communist President Moise Tshombe from taking it out of the Congo.
And now here comes George W. Bush, who in a recent pronouncement supported Communist China’s perennial scheme to invade and conquer Taiwan. Bush went out of his way to endorse the Communist “one China” policy. Now also here comes the U.S. Supreme Court, upholding “campaign spending reform” as concocted by Senator John McCain (R-Hanoi).
If memory serves, Dubya campaigned against this and then signed it when the rest of us were asleep. It was supposed to be all right, just “politics,” you know, no problem because it so clearly contradicted the First Amendment that the Court would overturn it. But now we’re stuck with it, and it cripples freedom of speech in elections.
“Conservative” George W. Bush has engineered the biggest expansion of the federal government in the nation’s history, via the gargantuan Medicare legislation he recently signed. His way of defeating the Democrats and leaving them speechless is to steal their issues and do even more than they proposed.
And Tom Ridge, commissar of geheimstaat security, says we need to legalize the millions of aliens who have illegally entered our country; in other words, reward them for doing so. For whom is Ridge speaking? Again I ask the question I have asked in many different ways, the question the Bush backers still have not answered. How much longer could Ridge be in office after Bush picks up the phone and tells him to go?
Consider that Bush has advanced the Communist program much more even than Clinton. Because the Democrats are so obviously Communist, they could never get away with what Bush has done. Could we now safely assume that Bush has at last driven a stake in the heart of the “lesser of two evils” theory, in which we have to vote Republican to avoid the “greater evil?” There is as much difference between Bush, Clinton, Gore, Dean, and on and on, as there is between Moe, Larry and Curly.
If you haven’t listened to talk radio recently, do so. Almost universally, the hosts I hear are staggering around on the air like punch-drunk fighters hit too many times, stunned, confused, betrayed, trying to explain Dubya’s Communist onslaught. It is not a pretty sight.
I have been calling Bush a Communist because he is imposing Communist policies and has given the Communists control of our foreign policy via the so-called Trotskyite “neo-cons.” Communism is total government. When you have total government, you have Communism. I could just as well call him a Fascist or a Nazi. In Fascism and Nazism, you also have total government, but it is expressed indirectly, via monster multinationals.
The only reason I don’t call him a Fascist or a Nazi is that the Communists typically use those terms of opprobrium to castigate whomever they oppose. It doesn’t matter. A thing is what it is whatever you call it, which recalls the clever attorney who convinced the judge to reduce a charge of sodomy to following too closely.
How is it that I knew from the beginning – from before the beginning – what George Bush was and what he would do? Am I just smarter than the others? No, not at all. Again, Limbaugh is obviously brilliant. So is Savage. Glenn Beck too is a smart man. I will admit that I am smarter than Shallow Sean, but that is like saying I am smarter than a toad.
The reason I was able to understand Bush from the start is that I have studied and am aware of the conspiracy for world government. The others are just playing games, living in the child’s world of “just happens.” They will never understand what is happening until they are willing to admit that it happens for a reason – that it happens because men with names, addresses and telephone numbers do it.
Of course this does not apply to Limbaugh. Remember that a very dear friend of mine in the radio business spent hours with him and showed him enough proof of conspiracy to fill a long book. This is the same Limbaugh who for years has excoriated anyone who dares mention the subject on the air.
It will be fascinating to see which way talk radio now goes. Meanwhile, word now arrives that Republican fakir Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, has turned against Bush on the war. Clearly his announcement is related to what we have been talking about. What does it mean? Is Gingrich jumping ship before it sinks? My answer will as always be a model of clarity and the soul of wit. I don’t know. Stay tuned.
