I can’t help wondering when my fellow Americans are going to realize what has been done to them and rise up and shout “Enough.” How many more California energy disasters must we experience before we begin to recognize the enormous harm a small but powerful band of Marxists and effete elitists has done to the land of the free?
The slavish media have done their best to blame California’s current energy crisis on the state’s deregulation of the electric power industry, or on greedy power companies or politicians – on everything and everybody but the real culprits who have put the people of the state into jeopardy and exposed them to darkness, rampant unemployment and poverty.
Try as they may, however, they cannot prevent the truth from emerging; the blame for what is happening in California, and now in neighboring states suffering from the side effects of the power emergency, lies solely at the feet of those environmentalist extremists who claim to love and cherish mother earth in the warmth of their hearts while harboring within their breasts a cold, hard hatred of mankind.
And, of course, there are the craven politicians who cater to their desires in return for financial and political support. People like .. well, you know who.
It’s been pointed out by such sharp-eyed critics of the environmental left as the National Anxiety Center‘s Alan Caruba that nobody has yet repealed the law of supply and demand – when supply is plentiful enough to meet demand, costs remain stable – the greater the supply the cheaper the price. Interfere with this immutable law of economics and you create chaos in the marketplace and drive prices higher and higher.
