The man in the corner…: And the faith of a child

I go through a lot of news articles in a day, but seldom does one effect me like the story of little Antonio; a kindergartner in Syracuse, New York who recently found himself tangled up in the machinery of political correctness. There he was, with his completed assignment, a hand-made poster advancing the United Nation’s global agenda of world unity and environmentalism, depicting people picking up litter and holding hands around the globe…Oh yeah, and a man in a white robe kneeling over in the corner.

POSTER WITH PICTURE OF JESUS LANDS KINDERGARTNER IN COURT

It seems that his teachers, the government’s designated change-agents, thought it necessary to punish and humiliate him for that “man in the corner” in front of the entire class. You see, Antonio was worshiping the wrong god. Instead of practicing, paganism, pantheism and the praise of “mother earth” as children in public school are so religiously taught to do these days through various UN sponsored, federally mandated environmental and behavioral programs, he in his own childlike way reminded us all that regardless of the grand schemes of men, Jesus was still in the picture.

I know this comes as quite a shock to you parents and grandparents out there who thought your little ones were being taught the same fundamentals you were back in kindergarten only a few decades ago. Welcome to the 21st century! Now, if you’d like to find out what they’re REALLY learning in public school, click on the following link and brace yourself for a rude awakening.

KJOS MINISTRIES

After reading Antonio’s heart wrenching story I was left not knowing whether to laugh hysterically over the federal government’s raw fear of a little boy’s drawing, be indignant over the embarrassment and persecution he was forced to endure, be sick over the petty and paranoid way it was handled by “grown-ups”, cry for the suffering and confusion he must have experienced or jump for joy at his simple and stubborn faith in Christ. I decided just to pray for him instead. I hope you will too.

What a testimony! Way to go Antonio! Tell it like it is little brother! You know, I should have that kind of faith and courage!

“Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:13-14)
