Revelations: The MSM’s drooling beast

By 1968, NVA morale was at its lowest point ever. The plans for “Tet” ’68 was their last desperate attempt to achieve a success, in an effort to boost the NVA morale.  When it was over, General Giap and the NVA viewed the Tet ’68 offensive as a failure, they were on their knees and had prepared to negotiate a surrender.

At that time, there were fewer than 10,000 U.S. casualties, the Vietnam War was about to end, as the NVA was prepared to accept their defeat. Then, they heard Walter Cronkite (former CBS News anchor and correspondent) on TV proclaiming the success of the Tet ’68 offensive by the communist NVA. They were completely and totally amazed at hearing that the US Embassy had been overrun. In reality, The NVA had not gained access to the Embassy–there were some VC who had been killed on the grassy lawn, but they hadn’t gained access….According to (General)Giap, these distorted reports were inspirational to the NVA.  They changed their plans from a negotiated surrender and decided instead, they only needed to persevere for one more hour, day, week, month, eventually the protesters in American would help them to achieve a victory they knew they could not win on the battlefield…Today, there are 58,000 names on the Vietnam Wall Memorial that was built with the donations made by the American public.  Although Giap did not mention each and every protester’s name in his book, many of us will never forget the 58,000 names on the Wall. We will also never forget the names of those who helped in placing those additional 48,000 names there: Bill, Jane, Tom, Cronkite, and others. Those of us who rotated prior to Walter Cronkite’s report on “Tet-68” can clearly state, “We were still winning when I left!”–9th Infantry Division

This was a staggering revelation, and yet it did nothing to change the media. If anything, they were proud of their treason. It is only one of the reasons I can’t stand Walter Cronkite. He will go down in history as the most treacherous prevaricator in modern media history. But he won’t go down alone; he’ll have a plethora of media puppets with him.

It is my belief that Walter Cronkite began the four decade trend of the MSM—or Hippy Press, as I call them—rallying against all things logical, reasonable, moral, true and American. They are the media version of the ACLU, seething with hatred for freedom in general and America in particular. Cronkite’s “Just the facts” mantra gave way to “Do as I say no matter how big a lie it is” during Vietnam, and has been carried like a banner by those who followed his path. He taught at least two generations of media how to lie to the people and STILL be called “the most trusted man in America.”

More than just the media has learned from this; our enemies have learned as well. And they’re just as brazen as Cronkite was:

The aftermath of the collapse of American power in Vietnam-and how they ran and left their agents-is noteworthy. Because of that, we must be ready starting now, before events overtake us, and before we are surprised by the conspiracies of the Americans and the United Nations and their plans to fill the void behind them….—Letter from Al-Zawahiri to Al-Zarkawi

Censoring the press is not an option; when you begin suppressing one group, no matter how justified, the same oppression will alwayseventually get to your group. It is unfortunate, but this is the price we pay as the most freedom-loving nation on earth, and only a fool would trade freedom for security. That explains why Cronkite would do so in an instant. In fact, he loves the idea of the “one world” crowd so much that he believes America should give up sovereignty in pursuit of the one world goal. More gutless kowtowing by the most useless man in America.

It literally makes me sick to my stomach when I think of what Cronkite did to American sons…sons who fought so that he could sell lies against them. Why he isn’t in a traitor’s grave only deepens the illness and spreads the disease. Surely Stalin would have given his left nut for this faithful elitist chief. He has made clear his loathing for not just America, but for Israel as well. When they have the nerve to defend themselves, he blames them for terrorism, but remains mute on the Palestinian’s offenses, the same way he condemned America, but looked the other way as the Khmer Rouge slaughtered its way through southeast Asia. He was the most useful man in the commie community. It is absolutely no surprise that he supports the Islamic world and turns up his nose at his own land…after all, he’s done it before.

So how much longer is America going to tolerate media that is horrifically slanted to the left and that jumps at the chance to aid and abet every enemy of freedom? Getting rid of the liberals in the press is not the answer, but making it more even by hiring at least a few true conservatives is a just and reasonable solution. Don’t hold your breath, though. They would have to admit to this prejudice first, and let’s face it: the MSM is hardly a courageous bunch. As Bernard Goldberg once said, “they do what they’d never tolerate in a crooked politician: They circle the wagons.”

Still, as vile as they are, I hold sacred their right to say what they believe…however, they don’t do the same in return. Given that, I might as well come clean. I believe that the Hippy Press has three litmus tests for a story: Is it against freedom, God, and Judeo/Christian belief? Does it support communist ideals and denigrate the Republic? Can we use it to squash anyone who doesn’t agree with us?

It is no big revelation to call the Hippy Press unapologetically liberal. But I’ve been wondering of late about another revelation. The mark of the beast mentioned in Revelations 13 that is inflicted on the masses is going to be one of force against our free will. Without it, no man will be able to buy or sell. That means you either do as the beast says or you and your family have no home, no car, and no food. Since you will be forced to take the mark in either the forehead or the right hand, I’ve wondered with amusement if it might not be represented by carrying the New York Times and their ilk into your home, hearts, and minds. Perhaps the mark is here in the form of a newspaper, a remote control, and their link to a smiling, smooth-talking beast.

It is, after all, already familiar territory. And that’s the way it is.

Keep the faith, bro, and in all things courage.
