Ozzy Does D.C. : Bush is still salt-free

ozzy-does-d-c-bush-is-still-salt-freeA few years ago I told a minister friend of mine over lunch, who was clearly upset over the Clinton sex scandals and issues of the day, that he should “beware of the godless conservative”. After I said that, he stared at me as if I had just spoken in tongues. My friend, you see, had been so thoroughly programmed by the conservative side of the media machine and all of its poll cats and pundits that he couldn’t see the big picture. He was convinced beyond persuasion that “good” was synonymous with conservative and that evil’s name was spelled L-i-b-e-r-a-l. So much so that he couldn’t digest the fact that BOTH Democrats and Republicans were leading the nation into global tyranny. It’s really sad to see so many silly conservatives and liberals still dedicating their lives to nothing more than throwing each other off a runaway train.

If you consider yourself a “Bush conservative” I would point out to you that the term has long since become an oxymoron. My Webster’s dictionary defines “conservative” as: “Disposed to maintain the status quo” which, by the way, has nothing to do with being a Christian unless the “status quo” involves adhering to biblical precepts…something Mr. Bush clearly has not done…at least not in public or political life.

With the exception of maybe his recent “World Court” rejection, pro-gun posture and a small tax rebate (which may all yet prove to be cosmetic and therefore temporary) the only real “status quo” Mr. Bush has maintained is that which was established by the Clinton administration and all of the liberals before him.

(1) Stealing our privacy and freedom with a more expensive, expansive and intrusive federal government.

(2) Constructing a surveillance society of neighborhood snitches, biometric driver’s licenses (National ID’s) and a growing network of closed-circuit cameras, federal data bases and satellite technology to monitor “suspicious” activity and “potential” criminal/terrorists on every major city street and corner in America.

(3) A feminized, downsized and demoralized military, trained specifically for use against it’s own citizenry.

(4) Public school pantheism.

(5) Advancing, promoting and protecting sexual deviancy.

(6) Black hole-funding of an anti-Christ educational system that was created by Marxists.

(7) Incrementally nullifying the Constitution and our inalienable rights through presidential directives and executive orders under the guise of “national security” and an exploited “war on terrorism”.

(8) Exporting jobs and importing aliens illegally by the millions.

(9) Tolerating abortion on demand…etc., etc., etc.

One of the more poignant examples of “compassionate conservatism” at work was the recent Ozzy Osbourne spectacle in Washington D.C.

Ozzy Osbourne ‘invited To White House’

Although inviting Ozzy and his obscenities to the White House was, to say the least, an exercise in poor judgement, (considering the fact that most veterans and law-abiding citizens will never be blessed with such an honor), I really have nothing against my president conversing with a burned-out rocker, even of occult persuasion. After all, are we not, as Christians, called to be the “Salt of the Earth”? However, in light of the many witnesses and reports coming from the controversial meeting and all the surrounding events, I am persuaded that it was little more than a Nixon/Elvis-style publicity stunt designed to show all the MTV-ers that “BUSH ROCKS” rather than provide the president with an opportunity to be a “faithful witness for Christ”. What is “compassionate conservatism”? Apparently, it’s nothing more than bringing together “good and evil” in public displays of “tolerance, diversity and unity” for political gain. That’s right…the Hegelian Dialectic…socialism’s primary tool for breaking down a free society in order to subdue and conquer it. Thesis (Bush) + antithesis (Ozzy) = synthesis (global village)

Then, like a false prophet, former vice-president and “born-again conservative Christian” Dan Quayle chimes in, completely betraying his past by showering Ozzy and his dysfunctional family with praises galore as if Larry Flynt was waiting in the wings with a stack of mysterious 8×10’s. It’s like a skit from Saturday Night Live, folks! Read it for yourself.

Quayle Likes Ozzy…

After scanning the piece, I emailed a good friend to briefly comment on the pathetic turn of events and vent a little frustration. I closed with something of a rhetorical question, which I am compelled to share here:

“Are these guys spiritual frauds going INTO office or have they simply become spiritually compromised BY the office itself?”

My conclusion is that it really doesn’t matter. The end result is the same.

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” (Matthew 5:13)
