Most Americans are worried right now. We are afraid of terrorists and Saddam Hussein and afraid that we might get attacked again like we did on 9-11. Terrorism and the weak economy are probably the two biggest worries on most Americans minds today. Personally I think we are barking up the wrong tree. I think there is something out there even more of a threat to the security of our nation than terrorism or the economy. I believe that the biggest threat to our nations well being is the movement for reparations. Reparations are a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off.
There’s a great racial divide in the world and in America. Reparations isn’t just confined to the United States, Blacks living in every country on earth are claiming injury due to the slave trade. Apparently even the people who were left behind in Africa suffered just as badly as the ones who actually became slaves and were shipped around the world.Many blacks think this is their one way ticket out of the ghettos. Of course here in the US they’ve had the opportunity to get out of the ghettos for 40 years. Many have taken advantage of living in the US and are living the American dream, but at the same time too many have been waiting for just another hand out. Too many black people especially the uneducated both here and in other nations honestly believe they are owed this from whites. They are saying it’s slavery’s fault that Africa is as poor as it is because the slave traders removed the strongest men, best minds and the hardest workers leaving others behind which damaged their chances for improvement.We all know this is a bunch of crap. Just a few years ago the reason Blacks in Africa were so poor was because of apartheid and before that it was because of colonization. The truth is, without colonization and apartheid Africa wouldn’t have anything, no cities, no industry, no farming, nothing but millions of starving people. At least when the whites were in charge blacks had jobs and food. They went to school, had roofs over their heads and most even had health care.In just a few short years since the Blacks were put in charge and apartheid ended, South Africa and surrounding nations have gone to hell. There are no jobs, 12 million people are starving, crime is rampant and 60% of the male population has AIDS. The majority of all female children have been raped more than once. The farms are out of business. The same thing is happening in Zimbabwe now. The whites have been run off of their land and out of the country and people are starving again. Robert Mugabe, the president is getting rich by selling grain on the black market, being donated by the US and other world relief agencies. Mugabe is persecuting his political rivals and the people who voted for them. He is ethically cleansing the white population but the United Nations does nothing. See as far as the third world is concerned it’s okay to persecute the evil white man.Now things have gotten so bad they have had to come up with another excuse, so they are blaming their failures on slavery. Thabo Mbeki, President of South Africa blames the United States and they want their fair share. The truth is the communist African National Congress causes the economic problems. Africa went from being one of the richest nations up until 1994 when Nelson Mandela was elected president. All of the farms, industry and wealth were transferred to the Blacks from the whites. Political rivalries and infighting took its toll. Most of the industry was lost. The farms were mismanaged and went out of business. The wealth was lost or stolen by tribal war lords, leaving nothing for the people. Just as with most communist governments now you have the Elite who have all of the money and the people who have nothing. The Elite is what we witnessed at the recent UN world summit, feasting while the poor peasants down the road were starving. This is commonplace in Africa today.Blacks refuse to accept any responsibility for what’s happening. It’s always the White people fault. Even though it was Blacks that originally captured the slaves and sold them to other Blacks and Middle Easterners they still blame slavery on the Whites, mostly on the Americans and the Europeans. Of course they forget that the first nation to end slavery was America and 500,000 white men died fighting to end it in our country. Despite this Blacks refuse to give America any credit. Now they want to be paid reparations, something for nothing.Herein lies the problem. American whites are not going to sit back and watch our hard earned tax money being paid out to people who haven’t done anything to deserve it. I don’t care if its education or land or cash, we can’t afford it. No white person in America has ever owned a slave and no black has ever been a slave either so it makes absolutely no sense to pay any kind of reparations. There will be another civil war in this nation before the US government gives away one thin dime for reparations. It will be nearly as upsetting should the US government decide to even officially apologize for slavery either. American whites living today have nothing to apologize for. This nation has spent over one trillion dollars in the past 40 years on government programs designed to help the poor Blacks living in this country. Not to mention the billions of dollars paid out to black majority nations in financial Aid. Enough is enough. It’s time for Blacks to either sink or swim on their own.America is supposed to be a completely color blind society. This was what Martin Luther King aspired for. But this will never happen if we keep coming up with some reason to favor one group of people over another. This includes affirmative action and quotas or any other program that gives one person an advantage over another provided those people are healthy both mentally and physically. There should be exceptions made for the disabled and elderly only.White America has reached the end of its patience. We have been blamed for everybody’s problems long enough. We are struggling to make a living just like everybody else. It would make things much easier for everyone involved if we all worked together. There are people out there that want to kill us all. They don’t care if you are Black or White so long as you are an American. So we need to concentrate on this problem for now. The reparations debate needs to wait. If you can’t seem to understand what I’m saying then get the hell out of our country we don’t need you or want you around here any more.
