Here’s another bright idea from our friends at the Global Church. They would like you and I to forgo Sunday worship for “volunteerism” in the name of Jesus. That’s right…give up church for God. This little program has the United Nations written all over it my friends, because only a global socialist would promote a twisted theology that directs you to pick up trash and wash dogs on Sunday INSTEAD of going to church. It’s this kind of religious deception that just makes my blood boil! Those of you who followed my series of articles on the church growth movement won’t be surprised to learn that the church spearheading this effort belongs to the Willow Creek Association.
Church Spends Day Serving Versus Pew-sitting
I’m so tired of hearing pompous pulpiteers armed with sappy new-age slogans they picked up at some pastors conference somewhere tell me how I should “color outside the lines”, “think outside the box”, “step out of my comfort zone” and “catch the vision”! Christ IS my “comfort zone” and stepping out of Sunday worship to be an eco-friendly social worker on the Lord’s day is not “vision” it’s blindness! Not only is this another satanic lie, but it is EXACTLY what Bush’s “Faith-Based Initiative” is going to do to churches who seek to “be relevant to the culture”, (imitate the world), secure government funding (“the love of money”) and retain their 501c(3) tax exempt status (“unequally yoked”). This is a perfect end-times formula for transforming carnal Christians into government gofers for the Global Church.
I was the very first to send out a warning about Bush’s “Faith Based Initiative” immediately after New Year’s Day while Christians and conservatives were rallying around his contested election win mindlessly applauding everything he said and did simply because he was Al Gore’s opponent. Now the tree is bearing its rotten fruit and “seekers” are serving it up hot down at the “temple of doom”. Why? Because Brother George W is leading the way of course! Well, you’ll excuse me if I don’t march in the big parade. I learned my lesson about “born-again” Presidents 25 years ago with Jimmy Carter. It was a scam then and it’s a scam now.
