Bush hatred, kitchen sink-style: Why the left will use anything to vent rage

“As for my feelings about President Bush… as an artist, activist, technologist, I’ve made it a personal mission to do everything I possibly can to make sure that this president is not re-elected in November. Bikes Against Bush is one of many projects I’m developing to contribute to this effort.”

— Joshua Kinberg, founder of “Bikes Against Bush”

When it comes to Bush hatred, it seems that if leftists own bikes or Bluetooth devices and can quickly assemble as enraged adults who act more like children to vent their psychopathic rage towards President Bush, they’ll do it. This is especially true if it includes the kitchen sink at this rate. And the anti-Bush media elites love it.

That’s because whenever there’s an opportunity for the Left to practice their politics of personal destruction on Bush, anything will do in their blood sport of Bush hatred.

For instance, when Bush took that nasty spill on his bike on May 22, the anti-Bush media ate it up, while they deliberately ignored John Kerry’s May 3 bike fall.

To personify their extremely pathological angst for Bush, the Left is forming new groups every day to showcase their rage. Much like the anti-Bush Web sites, MoveOn.org, Truthout.org, Commondreams.org and Democraticunderground.com, who feverishly spew out anti-American, Bush-hating propaganda, even bicyclists and high-tech device owners are scurrying to release their toxic venom.

For example, the media elite’s feeding frenzy over Bush’s recent bike spill further fueled Bikes Against Bush (www.bikesagainstbush.com) to mobilize their “mission” to use “wireless bicycles to protest the 2004 Republican National Convention in NYC.”

In fact, founder Joshua Kinberg openly admitted that he’s ready and willing to be arrested at the GOP Convention in New York this summer if it means getting an opportunity to display his insatiable animosity for Bush:

“Bikes Against Bush is about exploring alternative methods for creative resistance. It does so by creating a spectacle both in real-space and virtual-space, and allows many participants to contribute their voice to a dynamic protest/performance.”

Kinberg, co-creator of Magicbike, said his entire master’s thesis “seeks to develop tactical media interventions in resistance” to the upcoming GOP convention.

Still another example of this noxious Bush hatred on the Left is the ‘high-tech’ group, Bluetooth Users Against Bush , which jejunely text-messages each other the phrase “Down With Dubya” using Bluetooth enabled devices (i.e., mobile phones, PDAs, laptop computers) in their quest to “create moments of ad-hoc solidarity” for those opposed to Bush’s supposedly “disastrous policies.”

What’s more, one of the questions for first-time Bush-hating Bluetooth users on their FAQ page asks: “Why should I participate?”

And what was the Bluetooth Users Web site’s sophomoric, Valley-Girl answer?

“Simply because it’s fun! It’s a subtle way to show your solidarity with the anti-Bush movement and discover people in your immediate vicinity who feel the same way. When you are in a crowded area, you can use your Bluetooth enabled device to scan for other Bluetooth devices. If you find other devices named “Bluetooth Against Bush,” then you know other participants are within 20-30 ft. of you!”

In a related “high-tech” Bush Hate fest, the Associated Press reported on April 27 that Democratic organizers in St. Louis, “armed with Palm Pilots and a $95 million budget,” said they “hope to exploit voters’ anger toward President Bush and the disputed outcome of the 2000 election to produce a record-breaking Nov. 2 turnout.”

Still angry over Al Gore’s failure to steal the 2000 election from Bush, one of the group’s participants, Jean Jeffries, blathered to the AP:

“There’s going to be people crawling out of the woodwork to vote against Bush after what happened in 2000 and what he’s done since. People are fired up. Anger is a powerful motivator.”

Still, one anti-Bush cyber-gulag, which the FBI should seriously investigate, is KillPresidentBush.com.

While it isn’t known whether these sick individuals will use any high-tech devices, the lethal Web site is not currently running. Owner Kevin Lindquist posted the following demented e-mail request for sign-ups on the following obscure blog:

“Get your KillPresidentBush.com e-mail address! Now you can impress all your friends with your very own Your_User_Name_Here@KillPresidentBush.com e-mail address. Only $20.00 a year! We will start operating in November so send in your money fast kids! Checks and Money Orders at this time only. Include user name you would like and send to…(mailing address deleted by columnist).”

Under the heading “Execute President Bush by Firing Squad!” Lindquist’s psychotic request concluded: “Do it for your country.”

INTERESTING SIDENOTE: KERRY FALLS TWO MORE TIMES BUT ELITE MEDIA IGNORE BOTH OF THEM

Although USA Today was about the only liberal newspaper to write about Kerry’s tumble from his $15,000 European-made bicycle, CNN, CBS News, BBC and even al-Jareeza megaphoned Bush’s mishap which occurred on his Crawford, Texas ranch bike path.

In fact, a May 23 Google™ Search yielded 556,000 different references to the Bush bike incident, compared to only 156,000 slant references to Kerry’s bike fall, mainly in blogs.

One of CNN’s resident Bush-bashers, Dana Bash (no pun intended – that’s her real last name), in her May 22 story further tried to embarrass Bush by bringing up the January 2002 pretzel incident, where Bush choked and briefly blacked out.

Bash also included Bush’s fall while riding a Segway last June in Kennebunkport: “First lady Laura Bush witnessed the spill; a picture of Bush falling forward was published on numerous Web sites. He was not injured,” Bash made sure to include in her “story.”

In effect, Bash almost sounded disappointed that Bush didn’t hurt himself on the Segway. And, of course, Bash never once mentioned Kerry’s clumsy bike tumble earlier this month, much less Kerry’s other countless spills in his quest for the nearest photo-op.

That’s because the elite media seize on every possible opportunity to humiliate Bush because of their utter contempt for the president, while doing whatever possible to cover up Kerry’s blunders, as well as the misdeeds of other prominent Democrats.

In fact, the New York Post on May 21 was about the only one reporting Kerry’s two other falls.

While vacationing in Idaho, Kerry fell off his ski board while skiing down a slope at Sun Valley – just hours before he arrogantly announced before the anti-Bush media that he never falls down.

After the condescending, expletive-laden Democratic presidential hopeful got up – checking first, of course, to see if any cameras were around, he told reporters his fall was his secret service agent’s fault: “I don’t fall down,” Kerry screamed at the guy. “That son of a b-t-ch knocked me over.”

But before Kerry even arrived at the ski lodge, he and his motorcade stopped at a Texaco station to reportedly get a bottle of water. Upon entering the convenience store, “Kerry promptly lost his footing” “while walking on a wet floor,” the Post reported. “Kerry slips and falls on the wet floor.”

But Kerry’s lead propagandist, David Wade, immediately went into damage control mode: “It was a quick slip and an immediate recovery. He was up in a second.”

Yet reporters writing about Bush’s fall never once offered Bush the same concessions.

Kerry, who suspiciously tried to circumvent campaign finance laws by delaying his presidential nomination – which is perhaps his biggest flip-flop to date – has been cozying up to anti-Bush reporters ever since he knocked off Howard Dean in January.

(Say what you will about the crazy Vermont liberal, at least Dean stayed on script and was honest about who he was; unlike Kerry, whose stories seem to change every minute.)

From falsely accusing Republicans of being “the most crooked liars” to childish name-calling to stir up Bush hatred, Kerry has proven once again how desperate and pathetic he is and how much he depends on the anti-Bush media to prop him up. In essence, the media double standard lives on in Kerry, who’s proven to be loose with the facts.

ELITE MEDIA’S DOUBLE STANDARD, DISINFORMATION CONTINUES

While nut job groups use their bikes and gadgets for evil, there are pro-Bush groups that use their bikes and devices for good.

For instance, over the Memorial Day weekend, while the anti-Bush press trashed Rolling Thunder, a group of Vietnam veteran motorcyclists who supports Bush’s 2004 re-election and the war on terrorism the Left chooses to ignore.

Like the Swift Boat Vets for Truth – a group of Vietnam vets who are exposing Kerry’s lies and distortions about the Vietnam War, Rolling Thunder suffered in the translation of their annual mission to the White House.

In her May 30 hit piece, while Associated Press writer Deb Riechman toned down her anti-Bush slant in the beginning of her story, she ultimately revealed her political bias by peppering some of the details that ultimately favored Democrats:

“The group endorsed Bush in 2000 over Democrat Al Gore, a Vietnam veteran. This year, they chose Bush, who served stateside in the Texas Air National Guard during Vietnam, over John Kerry, a decorated veteran of the same war who is also a motorcycle enthusiast.”

Or, what about this May 31 Reuters story by David Morgan? His story, in which he claimed “Iraq has become a political liability for the president in recent months,” oddly parallels Riechman’s anti-Bush hit piece:

“Bush, who avoided combat in Vietnam while serving as a pilot in the Texas Air National Guard, calls himself a war president for his re-election campaign against Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, a decorated Vietnam veteran.”

Memo to Morgan: All presidents are essentially war presidents, since they are commanders-in-chief of the military. But Clinton and Gore hated the military – and it showed through their impotence in allowing al-Qaeda threats to grow under their watch.

Morgan also referred to the “embattled” Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who Bush has backed “despite calls for the Pentagon’s chief’s resignation over his handling of Iraq” – an obvious reference to the media elite’s month-long, initial promotion and subsequently obsessive vetting of the Abu Ghraib incident.

Apparently, it was more important for Riechman and Morgan to get their anti-Bush jabs in (“served stateside…during Vietnam”; Morgan: “Bush, who avoided combat in Vietnam .. calls himself a war president”), while promoting their fellow Democrats Kerry (“a decorated veteran…who is also a motorcycle enthusiast”) and Riechman also calling Gore (“a Vietnam veteran”).

Typical of Democrat-friendly reporters, Riechman got her facts wrong as well: Gore is not a Vietnam veteran; he briefly went to Vietnam as a reporter to cover the war. Like they have done with Bill Clinton, Kerry and Gore’s image consultants in the elite media are pulling out all the stops to make them out to be someone they’re not.

Moreover, speaking of Kerry trying to refurbish his fledging image, Jennifer Graham noted in National Review that the Washington Post vehemently tried to convince readers that Kerry’s a natural-born athlete.

While Kerry’s photo-ops on his windsurfer and bicycle are just window dressing, Bush is the real jock:

“Conversely, George W. Bush is an athlete, albeit an adult-onset one,” Graham wrote in the May 24 edition. “He runs 6-minute miles, bench-press 200 pounds, chops wood out on the ranch. Heck, he’s been on the cover of “Runner’s World.” Unlike Kerry’s, the president’s workouts are actual periods of elevated heart rate and significant exertion, not orchestrated photo ops. The president doesn’t exercise for the benefit of the press corps.”

Besides, Bush accidentally fell after completing mile 16 of a 17-mile ride on his ranch’s bike path; let’s see Kerry pull that off without a limousine or rest stop.

Yet after hearing the news of Bush’s bike fall, Kerry, clamoring for yet another photo-op as well as a cheap shot, immediately quipped to ravenous, anti-Bush reporters: “Did the president’s training wheels fall off? I hope he’s OK,” the pompous Massachusetts senator said. “I didn’t know the president rode a bike.”

While anti-Bush reporters asked if his comment was “off the record,” Kerry’s handpicked news hounds nonetheless quickly added it to their stories. Just the fact that they would afford Kerry the courtesy of asking whether his gaffe was off the record shows the blatant political bias and the Kerry cheerleading so prevalent in the elite media.

Even further displaying the blatant double standard in the media elite, before Kerry took his spill on the Idaho ski slopes, he asked reporters to wait until he could take a practice run (probably to assure that he wouldn’t be photographed falling on his rear end).

Ironically, however, while the arrogant Massachusetts elitist scurried to avoid reporters taking photos of his bike fall (which never would have been published anyway), our humble president let reporters take pictures of his bike fall – scrapes, bruises and all.

Although USA Today did report Kerry’s bike fall, Kerry’s comments about telling reporters he wanted to first take a practice run were conveniently omitted from the story. Had Kerry been a Republican, like Bush, his bike fall would have been front-page news.

Even The Late, Late Show’s host Craig Kilborn on his May 24 show couldn’t resist taking cheap shots at Bush. After going through a pathetic “comedy” bit about Bush’s bike fall, Kilborn said Bush “appeared confused and disoriented.” Then Kilborn played a montage entitled “Great Moments in the History of Presidential Bicycling,” where he never once mentioned Kerry’s wet floor wipeout, bike fall or ski slope tumble.

What’s more, had Kerry skinned his face after his bike spill, his media cohorts probably would have either lied about it or omitted it from their stories; Kerry’s press aides also would have tried to cover up his bruises with makeup and extra injections of Botox.

What’s even more interesting – and what the media elites also refused to report – is according to campaign officials, Kerry was riding with his Secret Service agents through Concord, Mass., when he fell off his bike after hitting a patch of sand.

“He’s fine,” claimed Kerry campaign official Michael Meehan. “They took the bike into the bike shop and he went home.”

So, Bush falls, gets up, laughs it off and completes his 17-mile ride without blaming or cussing out anyone (like Kerry cussed his Secret Service agent), but Kerry takes his bike in for repairs and goes straight home? And yet while making political fodder out of Bush’s fall, Kerry’s bike spill gets ignored by his media pals?

Moreover, if Kerry’s bike fall, wet floor wipeout and ski slope tumble weren’t a big deal, why didn’t the elite media report them? Or, why did the anti-Bush media give lightning speed coverage to Bush’s bike fall, while closing their eyes to Kerry’s many spills?

It’s the same reason these aforementioned anti-Bush groups are grabbing every available gadget and high-tech device they can get their hands on: To express his hatred for Bush and sway public opinion in favor of Kerry, who can’t seem to run on character or integrity alone, simply because he possesses neither.

The same ones on the Left who compared Bush to Hitler and squawked at Republicans in 1998 for allegedly “practicing the politics of personal destruction” by telling the truth about Bill Clinton’s felonies are the very ones doing the exact same thing to Bush.

What’s even more infuriating is that the media elites are willingly helping the Left push their propaganda in their Democratic politics of personal destruction in order to destroy Bush. After all, Kerry wasn’t even their first choice; Howard Dean was their man.

As the New York Post’s Deborah Orin observed about the ongoing Bush hatred on the Left that hasn’t once phased the president:

“Other Dems insist the Bush attacks just tell it like it is, but they might want to ponder whether the personal tone of attacks on Bush helps explain why Kerry is stalled and tied in polls, despite six weeks of nonstop bad news for Bush.”

It also speaks volumes about the media elites’ biases when they’re so willing to openly run damage control for a Democratic candidate they privately despise, just to get Bush out of office.

And they claim there isn’t liberal bias in the news.
